Open Access Policy
‘PRAVOVA DERZHAVA: Annual Scientific Works is an open access journal, which means that all its content is available free of charge to all readers and institutions.
No open access fees are charged.
Access rights
All articles published in open access are permanently and freely available for reading, downloading, copying and distribution.
User rights
Permitted reuse of materials by third parties is governed by the Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY) licence, which allows users to copy, create extracts, summaries and new works from the article, modify and adapt the article, and make commercial use of the article (including the reuse and/or resale of the article by commercial entities) provided that the user provides appropriate attribution (with a link to the official publication via the relevant DOI), provides a link to the licence, indicates if changes have been made, and the licensor is not presented as endorsing the use of the work.
Authors’ Rights
The Almanac of Law journal supports the principles of open access to research results and allows authors to self-archive their scholarly works in accordance with the policy set out below.
1. Preprint
Authors are entitled to deposit a preprint of their article (the version of the manuscript prior to peer review and editorial processing) in any repository, provided that a reference to the publisher and the journal is included:
"This is a preprint of a manuscript submitted for publication in the Almanac of Law journal, published by the V. M. Koretsky Institute of State and Law of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine."
After publication of the article, authors are encouraged to update the preprint record by adding the bibliographic citation of the published version and a link to the journal’s official website.
2. Author’s Accepted Manuscript (Postprint)
Authors may, without any embargo period, deposit the Author’s Accepted Manuscript (the version of the article that has successfully passed peer review and incorporates all revisions required for acceptance, but has not yet undergone copy-editing, typesetting, or publisher formatting) in an institutional, subject-based, or any other open-access repository.
When depositing the Author’s Accepted Manuscript, authors must provide:
– the title of the journal;
– the publication details of the article (once available);
– the Digital Object Identifier (DOI), where applicable;
– a link to the official published version of the article on the journal’s website.
3. Version of Record
Authors may deposit the publisher’s final version of the article (Version of Record) on personal websites, in open repositories, and within information systems of academic and research institutions, provided that the full bibliographic citation and a link to the journal’s official website are included.
Authors retain copyright and the right to use their work for scholarly purposes, while the Almanac of Law journal retains the rights necessary for publication and distribution.

This policy complies with the principles of open access as defined by the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI).
