Law as a game: gamification approach to the space law reconstruction

The research aims to assess the feasibility of utilizing gamifi cation to analyze problem issues surrounding the task of ensuring space sustainability. The author explore shared characteristics of law and games and examines how gamifi cation intersects with important concepts in the law-making process. The law was analyzed from the perspective of the language game. Furthermore, based on the recent space law and policy documents, the interpretation of current space activity as an important lawmaking mechanism was highlighted. The increasing interpretative nature of current space governance sources was presented as an argument to support the eff ectiveness of gamifi cation in space law for promoting sustainable space activity. These observations highlight the utility of using gamifi cation for the reconstruction of space governance for ensuring space sustainability.

Key words: gamifi cation, space governance and law, language games.
